Meditation is a natural state of being and an inner phenomenon where the mind, thoughts, and body dissolve or cooperate with each other. In Sanskrit, meditation is dhyana which is a noun and not a verb. Therefore, meditation is a non-doing state of consciousness. This effortless state of being can only be guided by living enlightened masters. Dhyana also refers to fire, called tapa in Sanskrit. Thus, meditation can also burn karma. Relaxation is the key towards meditation.
